Lumpkin sits on several community boards, including CityWide Development, the Greater Dayton RTA and the City of Dayton Financial Review Board. He also mentors for Dayton Public Schools and Trotwood-Madison City Schools.

Recently named to Parity, Inc.’s “Top 10 African-American Men in Dayton”, Lumpkin is also a 2014 recipient of Dayton Business Journal’s top 40 under 40 award. He earned a BA in Economics from The Ohio State University.

Lumpkin currently ranks seventh all-time among Ohio State tight ends with 757 receiving yards in his career (1996-98) and is first in that group with his 10 touchdown catches, doing that with just 46 career receptions. In addition, the 6-foot-8 Lumpkin played in 49 games for the basketball Buckeyes and started 19 times.
